Kusakabe Marron

If you look deeper into Marron's personality, there are definate hints of Kairi in there. Marron is insecure about who she is, and finds it hard to voice her feelings. In fact, she puts on a brave front most of the time, like in the first game Kairi, after almost every line of speech, giggled nervously in some way. She doesn't like to be worthless or not able to do anything, like Kairi. And if she sees the ones she loves in danger, rushes to help them. Again, Marron is missing her parents; her parents are abroad, both a long way away, like Kairi's are in Hollow Bastion (though, due to the no hint of who they are, they might have even passed away). Marron holds power inside her, powers given to her by god, those of the light. Kairi is a princess of light. Did I mention she also has a special item (being a cross) between her and her love? Now I did. Well, I see some similarities there.

Yuna

Kairi is the complete reflection of Yuna. In both cases, their first appearance is when they feel they are weak, but in fact are both strong willed, and able to do anything if they put their mind to it. They are both overly protected, but in their second appearance, shake off that personality by gaining a 'physically damaging' weapon. They come from different worlds from their loves, respectively. Alongside that, Yuna is recognised for doing something 'big' which others have also done, whilst Kairi is recognised for being one of the Princess' of light; which others are also Princess' of light as well. Hmm, plus the fact they reunite with their loves in a similar way.

Lets see; they're both princess. They both hold a power inside them, one worthy of changing the world. They both lose their hearts - and their loves go off to return their hearts. Lets also see, they kind of also forget about their loves, but remember them in the end (well, slightly in Sakura's case). Their personalities are wavering between similar and overly different. Sakura is naive, innocent, and overly kind, whilst Kairi is wavering between that and being the opposite. Really, their stories just match each other, as if they followed the same path. I think the one thing that matches, is when something happens that inflicts their life in a big way, they both change towards the positive side of things. That is, they both pick up a weapon and fight! Fight for their friends, and for the way things used to be.
